Owensboro is a moderately age-friendly city. It has a great variety of restaurants & shopping opportunities. There are some entertainment options here but not a great amount. There is a reliable & safe bus system for places within the city limits. There are 2 colleges & 1 university that offer excellent education programs. There is excellent healthcare. There is a fairly low crime rate. Many houses are available to buy or rent (rent is a bit high since pandemic). Jobs are also available here in many different types of employment. I'm not sure about community engagement because I'm not as active in the community as I want to be but I have seen several offers of community activities.
Just a good town for elderly good place to live if you have kids to
Almost all walking areas require transport by vehicle.
Carrying and kind
I love being involved with the elderly. I a few years experience in home care, companionship, and transporting. I have a associate in psychology so I can understand the stages of the elderly as they get up in years. I do my best to allow them to stay as independent as possible and comfort them when they are no longer able to care for themselves. I treat them with respect and dignity as the fact they don't like not being able to do the things they used to.
