This community is moderately age-friendly, just as is the rest of the county of Boulder. Although the University has always been near here, there has not been a feeling of youth is best. However, that is more pervasive now.
I believe that Louisville, Colorado is a Fun, engaging and quaint little town just outside Boulder, Colorado. There are endless opportunities for the Seniors, such as we have a Louisville Recreation and Senior Center. With specific Senior sports, activities and opportunities for social interaction. Louisville is full of walking and hiking trails from easy-moderate- intense plus lots of parks where families meet up for the next birthday (or whatever event you have going on). I have some of my fondest memories from my children and friends playing at the park, playing catch and doing cartwheels!
Everyone is super friendly.
There is a large sum of opportunities for Seniors to find part time, full time and, of course, volunteer work to fulfill whatever desires you most. CU Boulder is just one exit away for those who would like to further their education or a community college just down the road.
There is also a great bussing system that can get you to Denver or Boulder, the Denver International Airport, or anywhere.
The community engagement is spectacular. From the Friday evening band concert to the Louisville, CO Farmer’s Market and street fair on Saturdays.
There are enough attractions and activities to keep you busy, if you so desire.
