I have 25 years early in home health care
I'm from fort myers and the city us a great place to reside especially for the elderly many communities
Many peer seniors with activities available and many community engagement opportunities. T
Older development, close to community stores and bus lines. A mix of young and older residents. Family friendly.
Having lived there for 55 years, I had to relocate to a better place in Florida. I experienced a sleepy little burg become a metropolis. With growth, a lot of rapid growth, comes corruption, a rise in crime, drugs, and an overall feeling of no longer being safe. I loved growing up there. Everyone knew everyone. It had a real sense of community at one time and we all looked out for one another. That no longer exists there. You’re lucky if you know your neighbors. The traffic is horrible. It was taking me an hour to drive 13 miles to work. Lee County can’t seem to keep up with its growth. Health care is mediocre. But there is only one large healthcare system there. It no longer felt like home, a safe haven. The decision to move was a sad one, but it’s just getting worse there & the growth is still going strong.
