It is one of the few cities in Iowa with hills, and a tourist destination featuring the city's unique architecture and river location. It is home to five institutions of higher education, making it a center for culture and learning.
Dubuque has long been a center of manufacturing, but the economy grew rapidly and diversified to other areas in the first years of the 21st century. By 2005, the city led the state and the Midwest in job growth, ranking as the 22nd fastest-growing economy in the US. Alongside industry, the city has large health care, education, tourism, publishing, and financial service sectors.

I feel safe living in my town. Born and raised here.
Working as a caregiver I find it to be a satisfying job for me. I can relate to them of their needs and understand what they might be going through. I try to accommodate. Them in the care that is needed. But most of all to bond with them so they feel safe while in my care. It can be a scary time for them, adjusting to the fact that they need help in everyday activities.
Age friendly
Where I live it's a very older generation of people who have been living here their entire life.
Because everyone gets along and when they have activity going on everybody is invited and it's quiet I love it here
